I got an email from a school leaver, who did not attach a CV. Instead of ignoring the email, I emailed him back and advised that, although we didn't have any positions available, most employers would not respond to his email without a CV. He emailed back with appreciation and said he would take my advice on board.

I went to the bathroom in the mall and discovered there was no toilet paper. Fortunately for me, I always carry Kleenex, but I could not be so sure about the person after me. So when I finished, I waited for the next person to approach the cubicle and told her that there was no toilet paper.

I was picking my daughter up from school yesterday and one of her classmates was upset as her mother was not there as yet. I called the mother on her mobile to find out that she had just had a minor car accident and was waiting for the police. She had called the school but there was no answer. Although our children are not friends, we brought the girl home until her father was able to come and pick her up.
